California Heat Product Warranties
Product warranty only applies to the original owner purchasing from an Authorized Reseller. A receipt or valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
For heated clothing products, Finewire™ heating elements and plugs are under warranty for the life of the product (Lifetime Warranty). All other components of the garment are covered for factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of the first retail purchase.
Batteries are under warranty for ninety days and should be charged regularly to ensure their longevity.
Temperature controllers are covered for two years.
This limited warranty does not cover repairs by third parties, rips, scratches, tears, and cracks from abnormal use, deterioration caused by ordinary wear and tear or exposure, improper use, not following directions for proper use, or negligence. It also does not cover damage caused by accident, abuse or improper cleaning or care.
Product Warranty Process
All warranty claims must be processed by the customer, not the reseller. A warranty registration form and claim form are available HERE and required to be filled out by a customer to begin the warranty process. If there is a question regarding whether a warranty claim is justified or what further actions should be taken, an Authorized Reseller or customer may contact California Heat support directly at support@california-heat.com.
If deemed necessary to have the defective product returned, an authorization code (RA#) will be generated and shared for the return shipment. Round-trip shipping will be paid by the customer. The warranty claim form must accompany a return shipment.
The product will be evaluated, and the customer will be notified with one of the following resolutions:
1. The product will be returned to the customer if the warranty claim is not justified
2. The product will be returned after repair and testing – turnaround time is typically two to three weeks
3. A replacement product will be shipped – if the exact model is discontinued & no stock available at California Heat, the most comparable substitution will be made at the discretion of California Heat representatives
Warranty - Product Repairs
Every item that CAN be repaired WILL be repaired. California Heat will not replace a product when a repair is possible. Faulty products that are replaced at the Authorized Reseller’s decision, that could have been repaired, are not subject to a replacement for the item. When in doubt, contact California Heat support directly at support@california-heat.com or by filling out a claim form HERE for clarification. California Heat support will communicate whether a product needs to be returned for evaluation or if the product should be repaired.
Legal Warranty Clause
This limited warranty sets forth the complete liability and obligations of California Heat for breach of warranty. This limited warranty does not cover repairs by third parties, rips, scratches, tears, and cracks from abnormal use, deterioration caused by ordinary wear and tear or exposure, improper use, not following directions for proper use, or negligence. It also does not cover damage caused by accident, abuse or improper cleaning or care.
This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties, express or implied, including, those of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability. California Heat shall not be liable for any damages directly or indirectly related to California Heat's heated garments, including without limitation any damages for injury to persons or property occurring while anyone is wearing a California Heat heated garment. Without limiting the foregoing, California Heat shall not be liable for loss of use, inconvenience, lost time, commercial loss or other incidental or consequential damages. The foregoing limitations of liability shall apply to the full extent permitted by law. Some states or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
